Camp is Now in Session!

The sun was shining brightly on Monday as we all waited for our campers to arrive!!! The buses rolled in by 9:15 and they were filled with such happy campers! All who were eager to start their first day at camp. (And if truth be told, we were just as eager to see them as they were to see us!)

We began with our Morning Line-up, followed by the counselors taking their campers on a tour of the camp. We think it’s important that all of our campers feel like they’re a part of our family here at Hampton Country Day Camp, so we want them to get to know all of the important places and people around camp. We played games, ate lunch and everyone took their swimming tests so that we know what level they are, and what they still need to learn.

The 1st day of camp went by soooooo fast!  Too fast!  But as soon as everyone was acclimated to the camp environment, we continued on a regular camp day schedule – intense games of Ga-Ga, summer art projects, learning at Nature and a good ‘ol fashion game of Tug-of-War!  There’s so much to do, we’re glad we don’t have to squeeze it all in to one day!

After months of planning, we’re so excited to FINALLY be starting the summer of 2010! What a great 1st day – What a great 1st week this has been! This is going to be another FANTASTIC summer at Hampton Country Day Camp!!!
