Stepping Stones
(Ages 2.5 to 4)

Providing a safe, warm, nurturing and FUN environment with developmentally appropriate activities and facilities, the Stepping Stones program (for children ages 2.5 – 4 years old) is specifically designed to meet the individual needs of each young Hampton Country Day Camp camper.

Stepping Stones enjoy their very own magical and self-contained part of the campus where our co-ed groups are kept small and staffing is extensive. Our youngest campers participate in a great blend of age-appropriate activities that are led by trained specialists and are designed to develop their physical, social and creative skills.

*Please note that we require a 2 consecutive week minimum enrollment for campers in our 2.5 – 4 Year Old program.

Mini Day Option

Families with 2.5 – 3 Year Old campers can select between our Mini Day (1:00PM ) or Full Day (3:30PM) option.  Campers in our Mini Day programs can take advantage of the same door-to-door bus transportation in the morning as our Full Day program but must be picked up by their parents/caregiver at camp at 1:00PM.

The Stepping Stones Advantage!

Designed for Success…Engineered for Fun

Hampton Country Day Camp’s unique Stepping Stones program is the ONLY summer program in the Hamptons specifically designed to provide your child with a developmental edge. What your child does during the two months of the summer can make a tremendous difference in their development – the skills our Stepping Stones campers learn in one summer form the foundation for success as they transition into their respective school experiences.

Increased self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience

We pride ourselves on developing an intentionally positive environment which is essential in motivating young children to try to participate in new activities without a fear of failure.

Advanced social skills and separation independence

Camp is the perfect interactive setting for children to learn (without the help of their parents) how to communicate, share, and interact while developing relationships with other boys and girls their age.

Improved motor skill development

All Stepping Stones campers receive age-appropriate instruction in a variety of athletics with the goal of developing a strong foundation of core physical and movement skills.

Increased self-awareness

Our commitment to a structured program with small groups and high staff to camper ratios encourages campers to strengthen kinesthetic awareness, patience, cooperation, and emotional maturity while learning how to interact on a “team.”

Continued education with creative learning

Music, art, cooking, nature, theatre, dance, imaginative play and more stimulates our campers’ minds and helps to develop their creative skills.

The Best Learn-to-Swim Curriculum

We believe that every child should know how to swim and be confident in the water which is why every camper has American Red Cross swim instruction at camp every day!

Develop Core Values

Our recreational and interactive setting provides children with a unique opportunity to learn, practice and reinforce their values. On a daily basis, our team of experienced professionals teach, promote, recognize and celebrate camper efforts to exhibit our STARFISH™ values (Sportsmanship, Tolerance, Appreciation, Respect, Friendship, Integrity, Sensitivity, Helpfulness).
