First Week Round-up of Summer 2012!

Excitement was in the air on the 1st day of camp as everyone awaited the arrival of our campers. Everyone here at HCDC waited for the busses to pull in to greet our 2012 summer family home! As the buses rolled in, the cheers rang throughout camp – We couldn’t wait for the bus doors to open to get summer 2012 officially started!

This past week brought HCDC back to life as camp is now well underway! Girls and boys alike were excited to meet their new friends and/or reunite with old ones from last summer. Returning counselors were overwhelmed by the sight of their campers and how much they have grown, and new staff were excited to meet their campers for the first time.

Activities were plentiful all week long as our campers became reacquainted with camp and all there is to do here.  We played baseball, tennis, went rock climbing, made projects in arts & crafts and just had fun sharing those special moments between best friends!

Summer memories to last a lifetime are being made here every day at HCDC! We’re so glad to have everyone here at their home away from home!  🙂
