Jayne KahtJayne Kaht
3 Year Olds

Jayne has been with HCDC for the last five summers and brings a lifetime of experience to her role as one of our Stepping Stones 3s Division Leader. Jayne holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education and she leads the Early Childhood Education program for the Suffolk County BOCES. Jayne has been an invaluable asset in developing the Stepping Stones program and making our youngest campers and their parents feel safe and comfortable in a camp setting.

Stacey Krauser Stacey Krauser
3 and 4 Year Olds

Stacey is excited to be returning to HCDC for her second summer as a Stepping Stones 3s & 4s Division Leader. She has performed supervisory camping roles for the past 11 years with children ages 4-17. As a busy mom of three, Stacey is delighted to share her experience of camping with both our 3 and 4 year old campers and their parents. During the school year, Stacey works at the elementary level in the Jericho School District and loves working with children.

Barbara MarderBarbara Marder
4 Year Olds

Barbara, returning to HCDC for her second summer, comes with many years of professional as well life experience with young children. Barbara has always stayed closely connected to camp, especially while raising her two daughters. She has taught several years of kindergarten in the Half Hollow Hills School District and currently teaches third grade there. Barbara holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and School Administration. She will provide a safe, happy and nurturing environment for our younger campers and believes in the importance of communication with parents.

Sheri SilverSheri Silver
Kindergarten Girls

Sheri is returning for her fourth summer as our Kindergarten Girls Division Leader. She brings many years of experience and expertise working with our younger campers. Sheri was a longtime supervisor for the Junior Camp Division for a camp in Nassau County and during the school year she teaches fifth grade in the NYC School System. Sheri’s kind and gentle manner combined with her eye towards safety & supervision make her a perfect fit with our five year olds.

Stephanie Rund-RomanoStephanie Romano
1st Grade Girls

Stephanie joins us for her fourth year at HCDC as our 1st Grade Girls Division Leader. She is a certified teacher and working on completing her Master's Degree in Childhood Education at Dowling College. Her spirit and enthusiasm as well as her attention to detail wins over not only our 1st Grade Girls but our parents as well!

Kelly RaynorKelly Raynor
2nd & 3rd Grades

Kelly returns to HCDC for her fourth summer. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in the Literacy Specialist Program from Teachers College of Columbia University and is currently working for the Sag Harbor School District. Kelly is devoted to her mission work both in Cuba and the Dominican Republic to reform schools. Kelly has worked in a variety of schools in Manhattan, the Bronx, Philadelphia, and the Hamptons. She is very energetic and spirited and enjoys playing tennis and snowboarding. Kelly brings her sensitivity and athleticism to the 2nd & 3rd grade girls divisions.

Diana GarofaloDiana Garofalo
3rd, 4th & 5th Grades

Diana is really excited to be returning to the HCDC Leadership Team as a Division Leader for the 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade Girls. She has just completed her Masters Degree in Elementary and Special Education at Dowling College. Previously, Diana had worked for HCDC's sister camp, North Shore Day Camp in Glen Cove, NY, incorporating her love for children as well as a passion for dance as the camp's dance specialist. In her spare time she loves to scrapbook and enjoys jet skiing and snowboarding. Diana brings her enthusiasm, creativity and passion into everything she does. Diana is looking forward to another terrific summer on our leadership team!

Atticus MillerAtticus Miller
Kindergarten

Atticus has been the perfect fit with our Kindergarten Boys for the past five summers. As the Kindergarten Boys transition from our Stepping Stones program, Atticus is there every step of the way making sure all the boys make friends, learn skills and have fun. During the school year, Atticus is a key member of the North Shore Day School Administration.

Steve MazzaSteve Mazza
1st Grade

This will be Steve's sixth summer at HCDC and fourth summer as our 1st Grade Boys Division Leader. Steve is a certified teacher and is also a singer/songwriter who is passionate about making a difference with his music. Steve recently released an album with all proceeds donated to SCOPE, a non-profit organization that sends underprivileged children to summer camp. You can check out his music at www.stevemazza.com. Steve can't wait to spend another fun-filled summer with the First Grade Boys!

Jonathan BaxterJonathan Baxter
2nd & 3rd Grades

Jonathan is returning for his third year at HCDC. Jonathan brings much leadership experience to HCDC having previously worked as a Division Leader at Camp Stella Maris in up-state New York. During the school year, he teaches middle school English in the NYC school system. Jonathan is looking forward to sharing his love of sports and music with our 2nd and 3rd Grade Boys Division. He is very excited about returning to our Leadership Team for the summer of 2011.

Joseph BonomoJoseph Bonomo
4th & 5th Grades

Joe developed his love for camp and his leadership skills as a Group Leader and CIT Director at Kenwal Day Camp in Melville for 7 years. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Political Science and then went on to receive his Master's in Secondary Education in Social Studies from Dowling College. Currently, Joe supervises high school students in the Nassau County school system. Joe is looking forward to returning to Hampton Country Day Camp for his second summer and sharing his passion for camp with the 4th & 5th Grade Boys Division!
